Before:
24 year-old female, 5’7″, 114 lbs with AA cup breasts.
After:
6 months post-operative breast augmentation with 375cc smooth saline implants to mid C-cup breasts.
Comments:
This patient is quite tall and very thin. She was interested in going as full as she could, while still looking fairly natural. She had indicated to me pre-operatively that she did not mind a slight hint of roundness in the upper part of her breasts. Given her very narrow/long upper torso, I was able to place fairly generous volume implants (for her frame), and still obtain a fairly natural look (Note angled and side views again).

Before:
26 year old female, 5’6″ 119 lbs, with A-cup breasts and asymmetry.
After:
1 year post-operative breast augmentation with 450cc smooth round saline breast implants to Full C cup.
Comments:
Notice in this patient’s preoperative photo that her right breast has a somewhat shortened medial pole–ie. somewhat flatter and shorter toward the middle. I was able to correct this by creating the pocket for the implant slightly larger in this direction of the breast. I think, in general, that this patient has an excellent natural, yet full shape postoperatively. She was very specific about wanting a very natural slope to the upper part of the breast.

Before:
29 year-old female, 5’6″, 112 lbs. with pre-existing asymmetry. This patient had a saline breast augmentation in the early 90′s by a Plastic Surgeon in Beverly Hills. She had developed a deflation of the left breast implant (occurs in small percentage in patients–in her case, as a result of an automobile accident). Also, notice the pre-existing narrowing of her right breast (from the first surgery).
After:
8 months post-operative removal of saline breast implants and replacement with 350cc high profile silicone gel breast implants to mid C-cup breasts.
Comments:
This is an example of a relatively rare problem, but what made it somewhat more challenging was that the patient waited several weeks after the deflation to come into my office for correction of the problem. Of course, the deflated implant (her left breast) was her immediate concern, but she was also very intent on having the shape of her right breast improved (somewhat narrow and flat towards the middle). I was able to gain a very nice natural result with the use of a high profile silicone gel implant…an implant that is gaining quite a bit of popularity for women with a narrow upper torso.
